Would you like an inviting holiday activity that will help preschoolers develop order, concentration, coordination, and independence? I have a Montessori-inspired activity that’s super simple to prepare and is hard to resist. My 3-year-old granddaughter (and even visiting adults) love this pouring jingle bells activity. Yes, visiting adults (and I, too) have been seen picking this up and pouring the jingle bells back and forth.

Materials Used for Montessori-Inspired Pouring Jingle Bells Activity
- Montessori Services medium-size tray (Any tray will work.)
- 2 Montessori Services red polka-dot pitchers (Any small pitchers will work.)
- Jingle Bells ½” or smaller (I used assorted Christmas jingle bells that I had for our holiday bell sensory bin, but any small jingle bells will work.)
Pouring Jingle Bells
Zoey was instantly drawn to the jingle bells pouring activity when she saw it on the shelf. She spends long periods pouring the bells back and forth and enjoying the tinkling sound they make as they fall into the other pitcher.

Another wonderful post! We have had something similar on our shelves for a couple weeks. So much fun and less messy than rice or water.

My son used to be obsessed with pouring! He loves it even now. Let me give this a try!
