If you have a fan of all things construction, you know how much interest a construction theme can add to learning activities. I love being able to share these Montessori-inspired construction printables for preschool through early elementary from Every Star Is Different!
Disclosure: I’ve been given a copy of these materials to review. My opinions are honest and my own. This post contains affiliate links (at no cost to you).

Montessori-Inspired Construction Activities Using the Printables from Every Star Is Different
I’ve loved all the materials I’ve used from Every Star Is Different.
Construction Site Printable Pack
Construction Site Printable Pack
- Introduces children to a wide variety of construction vehicles and jobs.
- Includes activities that teach the specific roles of each construction vehicle.
- Teaches about the various types of construction sites and which vehicles are used where.
For older children, they can read and match the cards. Even though Caleb can read many things, these would be difficult for him to read alone. So I read each sentence, and he matched the construction vehicles and job images. He declared this as “so much fun!”
For this work, Caleb brought over some of his construction vehicles. He had lots of fun discussing all the different types of vehicles!
The books we used with this activity were Go, Go Construction Trucks! and The Construction Alphabet Book. Of course, we’ve read MANY construction books! You can see more of our favorites in my construction unit post.
Construction Site Math Printable Pack
Construction Site Math Printable Pack
- Includes basic math operation clip cards that can be used with various types of hardware like nails, screws, nuts, and bolts as counters.
- Teaches multiple math concepts using images of construction vehicles.
- Provides opportunities to practice counting with answers in number and word form.
Because of Caleb’s love of construction (and the fun he has doing carpentry projects with his dad), he has a child-size tool kit. He brought over his tape measure for this work with measuring construction hardware!
Construction Site Language Printable Pack
Construction Site Language Printable Pack
- Introduces construction site related vocabulary using true-to-life images.
- Includes beginner, intermediate, and advanced language practice.
- Provides multiple ways to master language concepts.
This was a great reading activity for Caleb! Thanks to Caleb’s questions and Google, I now know more than I ever thought possible about drill rigs and concrete pumps!
There are so many more great activities than what we’ve already done! I’m looking forward to using more of the printables!
