Happy Flag Day USA! If you’re looking for quick Flag Day activities for your classroom (if you’re still in school), for your homeschool, or for a family celebration, you’ll find LOTS of activities readily available on Pinterest. I have a Kids’ Patriotic Activities (U.S.) Pinterest board with activities of all types and for many different levels. Many of the patriotic holidays can use the same activities, so I’ve combined them onto one board. You will find a number of activities that are specifically for Flag Day there as well.
Montessori-Inspired Flag Day Activities
If you want to celebrate Flag Day today with a Montessori-inspired activity tray, just keep it simple unless you feel like preparing a more elaborate tray or activity. And you may always keep an activity out longer than one day if you wish, especially if your child enjoys the activity.
Of course, it isn’t too early to start preparing trays for the 4th of July. You could start with one or two simple trays today and add to them throughout June and early July.
If you’re starting to think about the 4th of July, here are my Montessori-inspired 4th of July posts (updated): Child-Led Patriotism, Montessori-Inspired Fun with Golf Balls and Ping Pong Balls, Montessori-Inspired Patriotic Unit, Montessori-Inspired 4th of July Activities, Patriotic Practical Life and Math Activities.
