April is a great time to focus on Arbor Day along with Earth Day. National Arbor Day is the last Friday in April, although many states observe Arbor Day on different dates according to their state’s best tree-planting time. You can find a map of Arbor Day dates across America (and around the world) from the Arbor Day Foundation.
Spring is perfect for botany studies in general, and a tree unit study would fit in perfectly with both Earth Day and Arbor Day.
