JDaniel4's Mom says
JDaniel has just started to work on cutting. Learning to hold the scissors was hard.
Deb says
Thanks for your comment, JDaniel4’s Mom! Learning to hold scissors is difficult for most preschoolers. Most Montessorians carefully demonstrate paper cutting and keep paper-cutting exercises out all the time because of that. I love that paper cutting activities can be varied with the season, holiday, or unit to keep interest up. 🙂
Melissa says
As always, a great collection of resources. Annabelle is already wanting scissors and I have plenty of ideas from my days in the children’s house, but nothing that seems quite right for someone so young. I’m glad to see some progressive lists of ideas. Thanks, Deb!
Deb says
Thanks for your kind words, Melissa! Finding the right activity is definitely more challenging for a toddler. I was impressed with the posts on the subject available in the blogosphere. 🙂

Hi,
Where did you get the resizable box?
Deb Chitwood says
Hi Cleopatra! Do you mean the partitioned box from Tackle Box Montessori? That’s actually a tackle box from Amazon or Walmart. If you mean a different box, just let me know! 🙂 Deb
