I hope you and your family are having a wonderful holiday season filled with peace, love, and joy. Let us all strive to move toward Maria Montessori’s vision of peace through peace education.
Montessori Peace Inspiration
Unfortunately, peace is absent for too many this year. I think Maria Montessori’s words and examples of Montessori peace education are especially appropriate this holiday season.
“Establishing lasting peace is the work of education; all politics can do is keep us out of war.”
– Maria Montessori
Maria Montessori was nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize in 1949, 1950, and 1951.
In case you haven’t seen it before, here’s a lovely video showing Montessori peace education at work:

Beautiful website! Finding your website right now is synchronistic in two ways: 1.) I’m in that “wishing everyone peace” mood right now, and 2.) I just got through spending a greater part of today reminiscing about Montessori school! I’ve been thinking how my early formative years at Montessori has been a major contributor in the way I think and problem-solve today, nearly 40 years later. Keep up the good work. Happy Holidays!

Thanks so much for your kind comment, Carra! I love hearing that your early experiences in Montessori have been so helpful now! 🙂
