I’ve loved all the materials I’ve used from Every Star Is Different.
Here are the Civil Rights Movement Printables Available from Every Star Is Different:
Every Star Is Different has a new Civil Rights Movement Bundle for preschool through elementary! (You’ll find links to the complete bundle when available and the individual packs at any time through the bundle link.)
You’ll find 312 pages of history, language arts, and math resources dedicated to teaching children about this important time in history.
I’ve gone through the bundle, but I’ve only had the opportunity to just begin using it. It’s amazing and can be used at any time of year!
This bundle has lots of resources for my almost-5-year-old grandson and 5-year-old granddaughter as well as my 9-year-old granddaughter!
Montessori-Inspired Civil Rights Movement History Printable Pack
Montessori-Inspired Civil Rights Movement History Printable Pack:
- Introduces many incredible civil rights activists whose contributions changed history in big ways.
- Provides resources to help children understand what segregation looked like compared to how things are in modern day.
- Discusses important historical events, court cases, and laws that changed United States history.
This printable pack has SO MUCH information about the history of the civil rights movement … in such an understandable, hands-on way to present it!
I can’t wait to use the Civil Rights Now and Then Matching Cards with my younger grandkids! I have them printed out. Zoey will be interested in them, too!
Zoey at age 9 enjoyed working with the Civil Rights Timeline Nomenclature and Description Cards. They go well with some of the Black history books I had: National Geographic Readers: Rosa Parks, Martin’s Big Words: The Life of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., and Let the Children March. (Note: We didn’t use each part of the nomenclature cards because it wasn’t necessary for Zoey. We focused on the timeline and description cards. So much can be learned from reading the description cards that are available in many parts of the pack!)
Civil Rights Movement Language Printable Pack
Civil Rights Movement Language Printable Pack:
- Introduces vocabulary words related to the Civil Rights movement.
- Provides opportunities to work with antonyms and rhyming words.
- Encourages the development of spelling, reading and writing.

- Provides visuals in the form of true-to-life images for those who need extra support or beginning their math journey.
