A construction unit is fun for preschoolers at any time of year. I especially like a construction theme in the summer because of its high interest for many children … and because it can easily be moved outdoors.
Today I want to share some fun construction activities that work well for a Montessori-inspired construction unit. Since there are so many activities that can be used for a construction theme, I’ll keep this post manageable by focusing on activities with tools, construction sites, and construction vehicles. The sensory bins I’m featuring are ones with construction vehicles that would work especially well for learning the name of each vehicle.
