I’m so excited about our latest printable pack! I love the Montessori silence game and mindfulness activities for both kids and adults. I designed our latest product, I Can Make Sience Poster or Card Pack in Print or Cursive, to be an extension to the Montessori silence game and a way to help children find a place of calm within.

Montessori-Inspired Printables at Living Montessori Now
My daughter, Chrissy (a former Montessori child), and I have partnered to bring you a series of Montessori-inspired printables. The printables are typically themed and use a number of Montessori principles (although you don’t need to be a Montessori teacher or homeschooler to use them):
- They use isolation of quality.
- They use photographs or realistic images to emphasize reality.
- They typically use traditional Montessori colors such as red for consonants and blue for vowels.
- They emphasize lowercase letters, which are what we introduce letter sounds with in Montessori education. (Children tend to pick up the uppercase letters without being introduced if they’re introduced to the lowercase letter sounds.)
- They often feature themed printable versions of Montessori materials.
I Can Make Silence Poster or Card Pack in Print or Cursive
These 76-page printable packs can be used to make 8.5×11” “I Can Make Silence” posters or 6.5×5” display cards. There are 72 cards in each pack: watercolor images of children doing yoga poses, photos of children making silence in a variety of ways, landscape photos encouraging silence and meditation, and one page with only the words “I can make silence” for a special photo or a making-silence self-portrait. This printable pack can be used as an extension of the Montessori silence game or for simple mindfulness activities for ages 3-9.
The print and cursive poster and card packs are each $6.
Note: These are digital downloads (printable products). There are no physical products included.

Ideas for Using the I Can Make Silence Posters or Cards
This is the book Breathing Makes It Better: A Book for Sad Days, Mad Days, Glad Days, and All the Feelings In-Between with the cards in print. I used a plate holder for the I Can Make Silence cards: one section for photos of children doing yoga postures or meditating, one section for photos of children making silence in a variety of ways in nature, one section of beautiful nature images, and one section of watercolor images of children doing yoga poses or meditating.
This is an idea of using an “I can make silence” card on a peace table with Seashell Meditations for Children and a large seashell.
Here, an “I can make silence” card is used on a peace table with the Calm: Mindfulness for Kids book and mini labyrinth. (Note: The 4½” diameter pewter finger labyrinth I have is no longer available. The bamboo one from Amazon looks nice.)
You can use any of the posters or cards in a frame. My favorite frame for this is the Li’l DAVINCI art frame that opens in the front for easily changing an 8.5×11″ printable.
Here’s my 4½-year-old grandson, Caleb, practicing a yoga pose using one of the watercolor cards.
My 4½-year-old granddaughter, Sophia, LOVED using an I Can Make Silence card with our zen garden and inspiration stones. She worked with this a long time, making a number of different designs in the sand with a stone sculpture in the middle.
My almost-9-year-old granddaughter, Zoey, chose one of the nature landscape cards as an inspiration for meditation along with an LED candle, 5-minute sand timer (you can get shorter or longer timers as well) and When I Make Silence book. (Unfortunately, the When I Make Silence book is no longer available. I still have lots of recommendations of lovely mindfulness books.)
