Learning materials can make wonderful gifts. If you’re a homeschooler, you might like to buy a special gift for your homeschool. If you’re a grandparent or caregiver, you might like to give special learning materials as gifts. You might like to buy a special material for your child’s classroom. Or you might just like to give a learning material to a preschooler as a gift for each holiday.
I always bought my kids at least one learning material as a gift for each birthday and Christmas. It was a fun way to get a new learning material, and it gave me a reason to buy something extra special for our homeschool. Today, I’m sharing my gift guide with some of my favorite handmade learning materials for preschoolers from Etsy. There are so many gorgeous materials on Etsy that it’s hard to pick just a few!

Note: These are not all the materials I love but are some of my favorites. I’m not sharing digital files today … just items that come ready to wrap. Check that a particular material can be shipped to your country.
Note: When shops are taking a break or materials are sold out, Etsy will show some similar options on that page.
Montessori Screw Board from LindenMood on Etsy: This is a popular choice for fine-motor control and development of concentration. If the shop is taking a break, check out these Montessori screw boards.
Montessori Musical Instruments from modernTOTshoppe on Etsy: I love handmade musical instruments, and these are so colorful and inviting! If the shop is taking a break, check out these musical instruments for kids.
Wooden Perpetual Calendar – FromJennifer on Etsy: This is simply gorgeous! It’s perfect for classrooms and homeschools.
Printed Alphabet Wood Tracing Board – FromJennifer on Etsy: I have this and totally love it. So does my 4-year-old granddaughter. It’s beautiful and a wonderful way to work on letter writing. You can also get it in cursive.
And be sure to check out the wooden number counting tracing board by FromJennifer. It’s gorgeous! Almost any material by From Jennifer is a great choice!
Hundred Board from MirusToys on Etsy: This is such a beautiful and creative idea for a hundred board. You can vary the loose materials used to add interest, too.
Loose Parts Insect-Bug Exploration from BusyMamaBusyBags on Etsy: Is this inviting or what?!!!
Montessori Felt Map from EmIsCrafty on Etsy: I want to work with this, too!
Wooden Map Puzzle from PromiDesign on Etsy: This isn’t too big for shelves and can be used in a variety of ways.
Montessori Small Moveable Alphabet Word, Sentence, and Phrase Building Cloths from mypeacefulclassroom on Etsy: I love the movable alphabet, and these make it easier and more inviting for children to use.
Prepositions – Montessori 3-Part Cards from TheLaminatrix on Etsy: If you have the pink tower, these are a fun extension and memorable way to work on prepositions.
3-Part Card Cloth Pouches from montessorimaterial on Etsy: Special 3-part card holders aren’t essential, but these would be a lovely addition for some favorite materials.
