It’s the 3rd annual 100 Acts of Kindness Project through Toddler Approved! The 100 Acts of Kindness Project started on Martin Luther King Day and ends on Valentine’s Day. It isn’t too late to start!
Montessori and kindness projects are wonderful together because of the importance Montessori places on peaceful interaction and Montessori grace and courtesy exercises, which teach children to show kindness and respect toward others. Montessori also focuses on following each child’s interests, which is an ideal way to decide on kindness activities for children and adults of any age.
Following are some ideas for a Montessori-inspired 100 Acts of Kindness Project:
Montessori-Inspired 100 Acts of Kindness Project
My post on Montessori-Inspired Kindness from last year has ideas for using Montessori principles for kindness activities for a number of ages.
Check out Montessori-Inspired 100th Day of School Activities (including the Pinterest Board) for ideas on Montessori-inspired hundred charts that would work well for recording (or as a second way of recording the 100 acts of kindness with objects, coloring, or stickers).

I LOVE this idea (and I am trying not to overuse superlatives such as “love” and “hate”)! Compassion is such an important part of every child’s education and this is a fantastic project for the class or home. Thank you for sharing!

Hello! Thanks for posting this – I will be bringing this out to do with the 2 kiddos I watch in the afternoon (we might even start working on it 1/20 when the kiddos are out of school). They are getting to the age now where we can start doing more for others. I am adding a link/pic to my post on Valentine’s / February Activities on Classic Children’s Books. Thanks!
